Imperial Golf Resort
Gwalior, M.P.
Collaboration with "Studio Chaukhat"
This project seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings and the cityscape, showcasing the beauty of nature in every aspect. The architectural design of the structure leaves a lasting impression on observers.
The project exhibits an impressive display of technique and creativity. The foundation utilizes a Mud pack foundation, while the walls are constructed using the traditional method of 'Rammed earth'. The concepts of 'Kund' and 'Bawdi' inspire the design of the bath and swimming area, adding a touch of traditional elegance. The room numbers are uniquely carved on Silbatta, a grinding stone, adding a distinctive and cultural touch.
Throughout the structure, local stones have been used, accentuating the connection to the local environment. The roofing is adorned with Khaprail, which has been meticulously crafted by the potters of Madhya Pradesh. Recycled wood is skillfully incorporated into the ceilings, highlighting the commitment to sustainability.
One of the standout features of this project is the inclusion of shallow domes. Each dome is inspired by different elements, such as star showers, creating a captivating visual experience. The brick jali (lattice) design allows for beautiful plays of light on sunny days, enhancing the overall ambiance.
The collaboration with Studio Chaukat, located in Gwalior, has contributed to the success of this project. With an expansive area of 5.5 acres, the project showcases the harmonious blend of nature, design, and culture.
Completed by August 2022, this project is located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. It stands as a testament to the beauty and innovation that can be achieved when architecture and nature intertwine.
