Tribe Fest

An Artists Adobe

This interior design project has finished recently and is considered the most artistic project the studio has worked on. The client is a textile designer with a strong interest in Indian tribal art forms, and they expressed their desire to incorporate these art forms throughout the house using sustainable options.

To fulfill the client's wishes, the designers chose teak wood with a Castor oil finish for all the furniture. Additionally, they incorporated Dhokra art on the doors, Gond painting on the living area ceiling, and Pichwai painting on the back of the Mandir.

In terms of cost-effective techniques, the designers repurposed the client's old sofa into a new one. They also utilized their self-developed sandwich technique for the credenza and wardrobes. This technique involves placing any old saree or cloth between the plywood and glass, allowing for easy pattern changes in the future.

For the dining area, bench seating was chosen and small Machiya's were incorporated for those who prefer lower seating.

As a new style element, Silbatta (traditional stone grinder) was used as bed legs and side table legs. This unique design choice will be showcased more frequently in Our future projects.
